What's New with the Open Archive Service for eCopy ShareScan

Open Archive Service Version 4.2.0.13

This is the latest version of the Open Archive Service for eCopy ShareScan 4.2 and later. Please read below for a summary of enhancements that are included in and then follow the instructions under Upgrade Process for getting and installing this upgrade. Please note that upgrades are free for our maintenance customers. If you are not sure about your maintenance status, please give us a call.

• New License System: A new flexible licensing system is now delivered with the software. It will manage single and multi license environments and does not require internet access for installation. And, full functioning time trials (no Demo Version stamp) can now easily provided for production testing. Give us a call and we can provide a trial license for 15, 30, 45 or 60 days.
• XML/CSV Support: Date, time, path and barcode file name can be automatically output to an XML or CSV file.
• Enabled use of comma in file name
• Changed the case sensitivity to insensitive for the barcode settings option "Only split if barcode contains".
• Minor fixes:
  
  -- Replace -oadir- with -directory-
  -- Rename OA Utility to Scan Validator
  -- Rename SPRoute program to OARouter
  -- Rename OAConfig program to OARouterSettings

Upgrade Process

Upgrading to the new Open Archive Service requires downloading the latest version of the software and a new license file. The licensing that was provided for the previous release will no longer work. If you would like to upgrade to the new version, please contact us and we will provide the necessary licenses.

Maintenance Customers: OAS maintenance customers can receive upgrades at no cost. Please contact us to get the latest version or check your maintenance status.

Non-Maintenence Customers: If you are not under a current maintenance contract, you can purchase this upgrade or purchase back maintenance, whichever is more beneficial for you.
